Yes and no! No, as in it doesn’t really matter what glass you put your wine in, but for connoisseurs and those who are a little more particular, yes there is a best glass to use.
In my view, the best glass for drinking wine is a clear, thin glass that allows to you to see, smell and taste the wine. The reason for this is that there is a direct correlation between all three and the human senses connected to them.
There is an ISO standard tasting glass (ISO 3591-1977 for all you technos). The design of which allows you to examine and taste the wine to its optimum level possible. However, if you do not possess one of these then simply use A clean, conventional tulip shaped, clear crystal glass, not fancy or coloured and you’re good to go!
