Yes, breathing is the same as aeration and is very important.  Most young and old wines need breathing time.  In my opinion, its just a matter of how long and in what room and temperature would be the most beneficial.

Do you get a headache after drinking wine?

Is it Sulfites… No! Is it the alcohol… Maybe? Sulfites can cause a severe allergic reaction in a very small number of people, even death in extreme cases (which is why there’s a warning on the bottle) but sulfites don’t cause headaches.
